NOTICE
Beginning in December, 2018, the Unified Judicial System (UJS) of Pennsylvania initiated
a Guardianship Tracking System (GTS) that provides all court-appointed guardians of adult
incapacitated persons the convenience of filing inventory and annual reports on line. The
GTS has been designed based on Pennsylvania Supreme Court-approved guardianship
reporting forms that must be utilized in Orphans’ Court offices statewide. For guardians who
file reports in multiple counties, using the GTS eliminates any inconsistencies experienced
with the various paper forms found throughout the Commonwealth and simplifies the
completion and filing of required forms.
The Court in Butler County intends to appoint an attorney to act as GTS Coordinator to
ensure that the approximately 355 guardians in Butler County are completing annual reports
as required.
The Court is seeking a practicing attorney who frequently handles guardianship cases
and is familiar with the rules related to those cases. This person would be responsible for
reviewing documents submitted on GTS including inventories, annual reports of Guardians
of the Person and annual reports of Guardians of the estate. The GTS Coordinator will check
the reports for “flags” and will evaluate to determine if or what action must be taken in the
case. The Coordinator will be able to cross-reference the Orphans’ Court file for additional
information, if necessary, and will be asked to send letters (generated by the system) to
delinquent filers.
The Coordinator will be paid, upon submission of a bill for services rendered, at the standard
rate paid to other court appointed counsel.

NOTICE
The Court of Common Pleas is seeking attorneys to serve as hearing officers for Property
Tax Assessment Appeal panels.
Approximately six to ten property tax assessment appeals are conducted in May or June of
each year. Panel members are paid at the rate of $150/hearing.
Attorneys who may be interested in being appointed to a Property Tax Assessment Appeal
panel should have experience in real estate matters.
